Fins Over Gwent (FOG) is a rocketry club based in SE Wales. There are very few rocketry clubs in the UK, so FOG serves a much larger area, including SW England, the Welsh borders and South Wales. It has a tradition of supporting rocket projects with schools and universities in the area.
I founded FOG in 2005 and was the chair for its first 16 years. In 2021 I stepped down, and was honoured to be made a life member of the club.
Monmouth and Raglan Model Aircraft Club a small club which serves model aircraft fliers in Monmouthshire and the surrounding area. It has a good site with easy access for cars. The grass strip is spacious and big enough so that even I can land on it (most of the time). The site is on a hilltop and offers excellent views over the local area. I learned to fly at Raglan under the (very patient) guidance of Steve, a club instructor.
